I have found various routines to attempt to redefine blocks. These have not worked. Here is what I am looking to accomplish.
We have a set of blocks already placed in multiple drawings. These blocks have upwards of 6 to 10 attributes each. I revised the blocks down to 3 or less. I would like to redefine all of the blocks within the drawings down to the 3 or less attributes.
When I simply try to insert the updated block and select yes to redefine it the attributes are not removed.
Is this even possible? There is information in the existing attributes that will be removed. Will I need to run a routine to remove all attribute information and then redefine? This is not a problem if we must go this route. I would need a routine for this as well.
Thank you for any insight you can provide on this problem.
