Yes, my attachment is in OPTIONS dialog, and yes that is the annoyance I want to eliminate. I want the tool tips for tool bar icons to remain functional without the annoying yellow text box popup along with them which as often as not blocks out something that needs to be visible. As I mentioned in my initial post, I did find a way sometime ago, that did accomplish what I am looking for. But if that is no longer possible, then I guess I will just have "bite the bullet" and forget about it. Thanks everybody. I don't want to waste anymore of everybody's time. Have a great day.

I think it is an all-or-nothing choice.

Holey Cow. You can turn off rollover tool tips, the balloons, without turning off the tool tips in uh, oh never mind.

Wait. The rollover tool tips are for selected objects. Tool tips are the annoying balloons, aren't they?
