"Ghost" devices on our circuits?

I am currently working on a project where in one plan we have several motors, all circuited using the AutoCAD MEP 2011 Circuit Manager/Electrical Properties.

The issue we're running into is that last week we noticed the circuit loads had all doubled. Looking into it further using the "Circuit Report" command, we found that there were exactly twice as many devices on these circuits than there should be. We looked and were unable to find anywhere in our project that these devices had been doubled, after exploring that possibility, we decided it would be more time efficient to delete the overloaded circuits and then recircuit the devices. This fixed it at the time, but the next morning when we came in, the phantom loads had reappeared.

Since then, we have found that the phantom loads stay the same regardless of what we set the real loads to. This would give evidence to the theory that somewhere sits a copy of all of these devices, that still have our old loads and circuiting associated with them. Though, if that were the case, I have no idea how they became recircuited to the panel after we deleted the circuits and re-added them.

At this point, I am lost. Does anyone know of a way to see what files the EPD is looking at, or have any other suggestions for resolving this issue?

Have you tried deleting them and then running the BLDSYSPURGE command? Not sure if this will work but it will purge out any old mep items in your drawing.
