Proper way to export images for review (i.e.spec/cut sheets)

What is the correct way to prepare a part or assembly to show to coworkers or clients?

For instance, I have a part or assembly ... I'd like to put it in an image or pdf format and show them the part and dimensions .. like spec sheets or cut sheets?

We do own Autodesk Publisher 2012. I'm working with Inventor 2013.

This is a pretty wide open question.
On paper or electronically?

You can probably show everything you need with dwf and they can view with internet browser (don't need Inventor).

Publisher is for fancier graphics for customers/clients.
You will need to define your needs better for best advice.

How much Inventor experience do you have?
How many idw files have you made?
How much experience with Inventor Studio?

I'm an Inventor newb. I took AutoCAD classes back in 2002 and recently started designing again.

I am designing a spec sheet for one of our products. I'm doing this in photoshop. I want to put a black and white image of the product with dimensions into this .psd file in high quality.

The JPG image is my spec sheet i'm designing. The PDF has a product design with dimesions at the bottom of it .. I want to do something similar with my product and put it in the area that says "CAD Illustration here"

What is the process of putting parts or assemblies into presentation format like this for viewing? If I knew what it was called, I could do some research on it or watch some videos.

Can you suggest any good learning videos or reading material to help me understand preparing files for presentation format?

Attached here is one part of my assembly. This was rendered in studio. I could use this with a WHITE background but need the dimensions to show. How would I do that??Image.png

You can change the background to whatever you want (and maybe make it some alpha color that will be transparent in your document.

Have you tried in idw a dimensioned drawing (if isometric view like your image hit the spacebar as you place dimensions to change text orientation).
You can set the sheet color through Tools>Document Settings.

Start new idw file> place view(s) from ipt or iam and dimension. The view (s) can be shaded.
