    Default divide polygon?

So, I have a plane of irregular shape plane which I extruded to make a concrete slab that acts as a floor. Now, I need to divide the surface (which is just 1 polygon) into a few, according to the shape of the rooms so that I can assign material to different parts of the floor. How can I do that?

In a nutshell, I create 3D models from the client's CAD files or design sketches, which I then use to produce high quality rendered images. Click on the link in my signature to view my portfolio. I'm always looking for work, so let me know if you need any renders. :)

Thanks so much! I've managed to figure it out, using that link I use cut to add vertices and then manually position them myself
