Hi--Thank you for the link. What exactly is this program.. I am kind of cautious about uploading a generic program that simply says Setup.exe.

The link I posted is to instructions for the error message you have. No Setup.exe on the link I posted.

So I don't think this system is finding any of the windows system printers.

Sounds like a classic "pathing" problem to me.

Is this "setup.exe" file for a printer driver?

I too went to the link provided by SLW and there was no reference to a setup file there. Please clarify.

Just throwing some straws out for grasping to see if it helps. Windows system printers do not have the .pc3 extension. Also, that dialog wants to plot to file using a DWF Classic plotter. Does AutoCAD automatically pick plot to file if it can't see the printer in the .pc3 file? How about uninstalling the Cannon and the DWF classic and deleting that .pc3 file and starting from scratch?

Hello SLW-- Thank you for the attached page. This describes my exact problem. I will go through the selected fixes one by one. Problem being that i am on the road at the moment, and won't be able to work on fix until next week when I have access disk with printer driver. thank you.

RobDraw-- yes you seem to be on the right track. the acad system seems to drop down through the printer/plotter list. if first one isn't found it goes to the next. This Classic plot is with DWF extension is on the bottom of the list. I will try deleting all plotter files and starting over as you have suggested. Good idea will keep you posted.

Hi There, have had this exact problem over the last few weeks after upgrading our PC with a "new" ex lease unit.
Followed all instructions above listed in forum and still got nowhere and finally had a brain wave and tried something that fixed the problem and now I can see all my windows system printers!

My solution (although it may not be yours) was to make sure the service for Net.TCP Port Sharing was enabled. The moment I started the service and restarted Autocad there they were!

    Start > Run > services.msc >Net.Tcp Port Sharing Service > Automatic > Start

I had battled with this for soooo long I felt that i had to share my fix in the hope it may help someone else.

    Cheers,

Hi wadeeng-- Thank you for the suggestion. I did go into Net.TCP port sharing and revise the connection. Still no-dice for me. ACAD simply can not find my system printers. I know that this is a configuration problem, but am at a loss how to resolve this issue. I am continuing to email my DWGs to another computer where I can plot.
    thanks.
