How to attach flat pieces to a round object? If you cant see the attachment it is a bearing houseing (pipe) with two pieces of flat bar that has to be attached to the round side of the pipe. Thanks for your time

    Le't start with the basics.
Real World.PNGNotice that there is a problem with your Extrude1.
Right click on it and Delete it.
Delete everything after Extude2 (not needed). In the real world this would be one part number placed two instances in the assembly. Model it that way. one ipt = 1 solid body, not 2 (until more experienced, then we'll talk about multi-body solids to make the entire thing easier).

Edit Sketch2 - it doesn't have enough dimensions to manufacture. I recommend you start here http://home.pct.edu/~jmather/SkillsUSA%20University.pdf

Once you have fixed the part - attach here.
Then we can see how to apply assembly constraints.

Thanks for your help I ended up useing work planes to get everything lined up. So now when I draw things up I keep assembly in mind as far a the planes go.
