Extend and Trim Commands not working Need help Urgent

My Client save AutoCAD 2012 file into AutoCAD 2002. Now he is facing a problem that whenever he is working on that file some commands in AutoCAD 2007 like Extend and Trim is not working on existing lines and X-ref lines.

and when i open that file into AutoCAD 2012 and 2013 then all commands are working.

when he create new line and try to use these commands then all commands are working but when he try these commands on existing lines and X-ref then commands are not working.

Kindly guide me what is the solution for that.

i have already save as that file into higher version.

Command is executing but not extend and trim lines

what does it say when he clicks the line that he's trying to extend/trim? Like "cannot EXTEND that object" or "Objects are not co-planar" or something? Or does it really just say nothing?

Do the lines actually intersect? If not, it could be the variable EDGEMODE that have changed, try set it to 1.

When he click on lines for extend lines does not extending.

In X-Ref extend command can use. i am using right not but trim can not be used.

Tiger I have solved that Problem.

Client did not set Z to 0 of X-Ref and many of Objects. so i used Flatten command to that objects and X-ref files.

Look at your command line. What message is AutoCAD giving you? Ex. - Path does not intersect with the bounding edge.

It's deja' vue all over again.

Also, just like the OP who started this thread, are you too utilizing xrefs?

What is EDGEMODE set to?

When I select trim, command line says: Select cutting edges ...

And when I selected line says: Select objects or : Specify opposite corner: 6 found

But nothing done.... the things become freeze

how to attach drawing !!!

I have no problem with any other command till now except TRIM and EXTEND, and it has started suddenly since last three days. may be I have commanded something wrongly or unknowingly

To attach a drawing start by clicking on the Go Advanced button.

So, after you select the cutting edges, you need to hit enter. Then you are prompted to select the objects that you want to extend or trim. I this what you are doing?
