rkmcswain
Using vanilla AutoCAD 2007, you will either need some add-ons (like Carlson or Dotsoft Mapworks) -or- you'll have to do the calcs manually and make use of AutoCAD for the drafting portion. Organic
I am using AutoCad 2007. However, I do not know how to make a road cross section using xyz data. You can't do it easily. You will have to draw the cross sections manually. You may be able to use a lisp program if the data is in the correct format. How can I quickly plot and calculate the volume of a stock-pile using AutoCad 2007? Please assist me. Thanks in advance for your help. You can't. Is it possible to generate contours in AutoCad 2007? If yes, how can I generate contours given levels of a road? Please help me. Thanks in advance. No, it is not possible. AutoCad Civil 3D (or a similar civil program) is what you need to be able to complete tasks such as those you describe above.
