I've played with Plant3D once... it looked and felt way different than AutoCAD MEP so I didn't get very far. I don't know of any real "users" of Plant3D on this board either. It'd be nice to have a few come out of the wood works.

Can you use MEP to cut your sections from a Plant3D model? I heard a while ago from a reseller that you can do this.
I've started looking at Plant 3D recently but as far as I can tell you're still constrained to producing only Top, front, left etc orthos in your drawing sheet. Or schematic isometrics showing linework and symbols.
I'm sure engineers will want to see proper sections, and will want to design components that arn't restricted to 90degree angles.

I've been exposed to a few company's migrating to Plant3D because the resellers are pushing it hard. It has P&ID built on top of it as MEP has Architecture. Not sure of the compatability but have heard things like you can't use text in model space in Plant (I think). There is a good chance I will have to submit to it here soon and will provide a full report if/when that happens. This ***** I have is it's only been out a year......so who are the experts besides the developers?

Plant 3D has been around since 2009. When I was checking into using Plant 3D, the PLANT 3D DISCUSSION GROUP at Autodesk was helpful.
