Block attribute text to annotative

Changing the properties of text within attributed blocks through lisp, namely;

  • Text to annotative (in this case, I require 1:1)
  • Text Position Locked

Can this be done?

The only other alternative is to redefine each block?

Cheers,

H

Uhm ... yes ... even in lisp you'd be redefining blocks. BTW, are you sure you want the text inside the block to become annotative? I'd usually leave the attribute/text to be non-anno and set the entire block to be anno as a whole, else you get strange results.

  • 2 weeks later...

It is for the title block, which, in paper space would not (normally) be annotative. However, I am running a VB Macro to update attributes, and to overcome using the attsync command, making the text annotative seems to work. I have just redefined all of the blocks with a script. Weird, but it works. All good. Thanks for your reply. H.

Glad you were able to sort it out. :)

If you are not familiar with it,

this lisp from Lee Mac would probably be

a good one to add to your arsenal,

there are Edit functions at the bottom of the description.
