PDFs are not known for the quality of their printed image. Perhaps the PDF was sized for a smaller paper than what you are printing to. Have you changed the dpi setting?

Auto-Cad prints fuzzy lines when enlarged.
Registered forum members do not see this ad.
Has anyone run into this problem before? Auto-Cad prints fuzzy lines. Its worse when they are enlarged. Drawings are printing as PDF files. thanks.

What program are you using to plot to PDF?

In the next release AutoDesk should strip out the ability to plot to a PDF and leave the task to companies that know what they are doing and can guarantee good results when it comes to printing. AutoDesk's inclusion of this feature has been a hack from the beginning.

I do PDF from AutoCAD just fine.

me too, the preview is sometimes fuzzy but the final print can't be bettered.

Not to mention the OP uses AutoCAD 2000, so a third party program is being used.

Judging by the number of threads re: problems with printing a PDF from AutoCAD you guys are in the minority.

What is the number of threads and what is the number plotting to PDF from AutoCAD?
