    Default Plane isn't created

I made a part in the context of an assembly.
Now i want to make a plane in the assembly, so i will be able to cut the part, but, as you see in the picture, even though the plane is marked with cyan, when i right click and press Done-nothing happens.
    I also attached the files.

i found the reason, i should have chosen another line on the plane.
I don't know how to erase a thread here, can someone tell me?
But, as i edit the new part, the new created plane cannot be selected in the Sculpt command, since it is greyed out, like the rest of the assembly items.
How do i cut the new part using one of the faces of another part in the assembly?

I didn't open the file, but based on previous posts - it looked to me like you should be using the Frame Generator in Inventor. The Frame Generator has tools for trimming parts.

If this is a part that would not be made by the frame generator (like a bracket or piece of sheet metal) then the process it to edit the part in the context of the assembly (right click on the part in the browser and select Edit). Then Copy Object as Surface body the face(s) from the second part that you wish to use to trim the edited part. You can now use Sculpt or Split. Let me know if you can't figure it out and I will take a look at your files.
