Which AutoCAD shud i use?

Good Day to all,

I m currently working at home as a freelance Interior Designer, i wan to know which AutoCad softwares hud i use as there re so many types.

Basically i need to draw floorplan and some 2D & 3D drawing for my client.

Anyone keen to share....blur

Wait a minute. You're working as a freelance interior designer, but you don't know which software to use or how to use it? Does your client know this?

If you're going to be doing interior design work, I would suggest Autocad Architecture or Revit. And if I were you, I would sign up for some classroom training.

Thanks bro, i use to be an ID way 20 years ago, but managed to study 1year only ruing my college time due to financial problem, but the passion in ID still in my blood till now, all this while i m just sketching some perspective drawing for my client for pass 10 years, sometimes have to give to freelancer to produce the plan drawing which is costly for me...so since now i m having some free time so, plan to learn it while i have a month of free time now...

Sign up for classroom training is a bit costly for me now, cant afford at the moment, to many commitments at the moment....

Then the next best thing would be for you to get yourself a good book or two or three and start studying and working through tutorials. And if you get stuck on something, you can come here and ask for help.

REVIT LT: if you are going to start fresh after 20 years why pick up with a dinasaur like AutoCAD when the world is headed elsewhere.If you have Dwg-anxiety, REVIT LT can be bundled with AutoCAD LT for only $200 more, both come out to about less than half the price of AutoCAD.

I doubt that RedEarth has the budget even for the LT version of Revit.

As for 3D there is always Trimble SketchUp

Instead of PhotoShop there is the Gimp and Paint.net
