    Drawing Help with a Design

    i'm new to to AutoCAD as im studying civil engineering in my country , i had a lot of difficulties in the program & i wanted to ask for a help in this design that i couldn't manage to do it as it seems a pain for me , i tried everything but nothing
    tried doing some offset & drawing circles
    & this design should be done tomorrow cause this is an assignment

    so any help in this one please ?

    actually this is very easy to do.
    you are missing a dimension here. between 18 and 36

    Welcome to the forum.
    Yeah, between the 18 & 36 dimensions on the top like nod said, and you will need a few dimensions
    at the bottom, one showing the overall width, one from the left corner to the center of the circle
    and another one from either side of the part to the notch at the bottom.
    Volume and repetition do not validate opinions forged in the absence of thought.

    i know it seems easy , but i had been through some sickness in the 1st weeks of my university which made me absent & dont know that much on how to do this
    well that's how the teacher gave us the design , i even noticed it now !

    i traced the image and here is what i got

    actually the image does not conform with the dimension especially the 18 diameter which is 40 from the bottom

    post what you have so far - even if its just a couple of lines and someone will talk you through.

    Nod, I know your intention is good but the OP could just save that and present it as his own. That is not how learning to do it works. I would suggest you delete the attachment and supply just a start, not a finished item.

    I don't actually know. I think you can edit your post and delete it there but I've never tried.
