Is it possible to remove a text string out of all selected text?

Hi all,

I have another question that is the opposite of what i asked before.

Instead of adding text as a prefix or suffix i would like to know if it is

possible aswell to remove text from within text:

For example:

I have these texts "I am not good", "he is not good", "what not to be"

And i would like to remove the word "not" from all selected text

so i would get "i am good", "he is good" , "what to be".

The set word not will always be the same, so there is no need for user string input.

Is that possible?

Thanks in advance

Please check the FIND command - use "not " as what to find and "" (an empty string) as replacement. You can run this command on the entire drawing or just on a selection set.

Just don't forget to include a space as sufix or prefix of the string to be replaced.

would have never thought that function would actually work within autocad.

Thanks alot msasu.

You're welcome!

I believe is sometime confusing that in AutoCAD the said command reside inside Edit menu (for Windows compatibility reasons) as one may expect it in Modify menu along other commands intended to adjust existing entities of the drawing.

I meant to use the content inside the quotes - that it, let empty the Replace field. For this reason I have mentioned:

sorry i though i need to put the "" like in autolisp.

my bad!
