When using the mirror components option there is an arrow that takes you to a second page where you have to specify that the mirrored part is "opposite handed"

I mirrored both parts around plane 1.
Part 1, the plate at the bottom, mirrored o.k., but the beam with holes, apart from being mirrored, has also turned upside down. look at the 4 close holes at the top of the left, the original, and see them in the right part at the bottom.
