Will most every computer in the world open a 3D PDF without downloading additional add-in? AFAIK, you need Adobe Reader 9 or later and even then markup is NOT available. So if not updating Reader, you have to go through all that TROUBLE of an update. Many are requesting to view 3D PDFs on iPad and other tablets on some Adobe forums and that is a "No Can Do" for 3D PDFs. iPad and Android have Design Review available.
