Hi!

I have a solid text that is arial bold but when i use the hide command the nice solid text will be hollow until I run the regen command... :(

Before hide command:

After hide command:

after.JPG

Is it possible to keep the text solid when hide?

Thanks in advance!

I believe that this is the expected behavior for TrueType texts, dimension arrows and solid hatches. If you really need to have it filled when hide, then try to explode it (TXTEXP command, part of Express pack) then fill the resulted contours with a non-solid hatch pattern, but dense enough to looks like solid.

One of the drawbacks to putting your text in model space and using the Hide command. You could put the text in your layout where it would be unaffected.

Thanks for the replys but explode is out of the question because someone else may want to change the text and because this problem also applies on attributes.

I´m not to familiar with layouts... we only use model.

This is a little part of a cabinetdrawing with terminals in the bottom.

The blue text is a TEXT and the white text is a ATTRIB.

After hide:

Am I the only one that feel like this is a problem?

You're using the HIDE command. Why?

What happens if you do NOT use the Hide command but instead use a Hidden visual style? Do you get the same results?
