ggservers
Hi all, I work for a ship builder's and naturally Autocad is a big part of it. For awhile now we have been using Fastnest to easily nest the parts we design and thats fine until it comes to making a 'bridge' between parts. (as shown in pic) In the picture shown it doesn't look too bad but imagine there are 100x as many all different shapes and sizes. Basically what im trying to find is an easy way to bridge objects together before final nesting. Currently the method followed is this; 1: 2 x lines spaced 5mm apart from each other 2: trim the excess 3: use trim/fence to clear a path 4: repeat This would be fine if all the shapes were the same but sadly most of the time they are not. Does anyone have any idea's to make this task less annoying? note: I know I can add bridges in fastnest but that is just extremely annoying (more so than the other method) Cheers
