How to copy viewport to other layout/drawing with saved layer states ?

hello

 

many times i'm merge drawings into one file (layouts). i'm using design center but the main problem is that all layers are thawed when copy whole layouts.

 

i'm using this trick but this is very time consuming:

- make block from viewport

- copy to another drawing and explode

- all layer states are remembered

 

other idea to achieve this ? maybe with some smart routine ?
