Currahee
I dont know what all the fuss is about Windows 8 is...yes there is a tile for the desktop....but once I start my machine and click on the desktop tile...life as we know it is the same....all I have to do is "alt-tab" thru my programs tha is running like I have been doing for many of years and I dont have to see those tiles.... But I like those tiles when I want to go to them....it gives me an updat on the news, and my email(I had to a little customizing within Outlook in order for my POP) but yea..I like it. If you dont want to deal with the tiles and if you are like me that lives solely on on the Windows Explorer and really never gets out of it; I open my AutoCAD....seek my files....thats all I need. Well except my porn of course.....my wife and I love our porn!!!!! Yes she loves it to...She got me a stripper for my birthday!!!!
tzframpton
I'd like to try it out. I've heard good things about it. I'm just in desperate need of a new computer as mine is reaching five years old now. Once I do upgrade in six months or so, I'll be going Win8 all the way I assume. dbroada
I'm happy with Windows 8 on my new home machine. Either the tile or D takes you to the desktop and from then on, familiar ground. I don't like having to move the mouse from corner to corner to activate things which are obviously far easier on a touch screen. And last night I hovered my mouse somewhere and got a display of things running that I had never seen before but overall I find nothing to object to. Organic
Well I personally don't like it I Purchased a Windows 7 laptop last week [was on special too since they were clearing out their Windows 7 machines] as I don't want Windows 8. Windows 7 (as well as Windows Xp) does everything I want to be able to do.
