Default Define Block Attributes with field name

I'm working on a project with XL2CAD and this is what the Dotsoft support emailed me back with:

"Its 'block place', you have to have block attributes that are filled with the text information. The block attribute tag name has to matchthe field name in the spreadsheet. You will find more detail in the
    Users Guide."

How do I do what he just told me?

Is there anyway to define attributes to blocks based on an excel sheet? in other words, can I create many blocks and have attributes of the block, like unit number and name of the unit (defined in excel) be automatically matched to that block?

    Thanks in advance,
    Noel

While you wait... I would suggest continuing to work with the software maker - nobody knows more about it than them.

Absolutely, I'm waiting for their reply as well.

    Thanks,
