toddster
I am new to using material take offs in Revit and was hoping someone could help me figure out how to calculate the linear feet of interior door casing used in a model. I would ultimately like to calculate separted by molding profile as well as our projects do not always have the same profiles in every room in an effort to match existing conditions. Thnaks so much for any feedback you can provide
Lee Roy
That would likely involve a formula, something to the effect of CasingLength=(Height*2)+Width Make that a parameter within the door family that you can then pull to your take-off schedule. Rather than a parameter in the families themselves ... it would be possible to simply add the Height & Width as hidden fields in the schedule, then add a Calculated Value with such a formula. That way you don't need to go edit each and every door family.
