Is the Distance Tool default in 2013 different than previous versions?

I've been using 2013 in the office for several months now, and I swear something has changed on the Distance Tool from previous versions (2007, 2009). Using the Measurement or Inquiry Toolbars, I regularly select the Distance Tool, snap my two points and get my distance measurement. After completing that, you enter an option for another MeasureGeom function or "eXit" in the command bar. In the past, "eXit" was the default which I selected easily using my Right Click. Now it seems that "Distance" is the default, which creates a (small) hassel because I think I'm exiting, but instead I'm taking another measurement. Is this a change from previous versions, and is there a way to change the default back to "eXit"?

Yes. Yes, they did change the default behavior for the Distance command. What possessed them to do it, I can't tell you.

You can customize your toolbar or ribbon or whatever you use. Replace the MeasureGeom command with the old Dist command. That's what I did.

Thanks. That worked like a charm. I noticed the Distance command is not even listed in the Command List anymore, but it still works.

I'm conditioned to type DI whenever I require the Distance command. I have never invoked it any other way no matter what AutoDesk programmers try to force down our throats.
