Dana W Posted January 19, 2013 Share Posted January 19, 2013 The inner fillet should be equal to the outer fillet radius minus the distance from the outer edge to the inner edge. That's why the -114 mm answer above. If your outer fillet needs to be 6 mm, then your inner fillet just has to be big enough so there is no sharp corner. Anyway, if they are 120 mm apart nobody is going to "see" a proportion problem. Try dividing 6mm by 120mm. .05 mm? If there is no mechanical reason for a fillet inside, I would not even bother. There is a limit to how tight a machine shop is going to cut an extrusion "gate"? "Mouth"? what is that thing they force the material through? 'pasta shape pattern'?
