Text Formatting Box Issues

I'm not really sure how to describe this little quirk, but I'll try my best.

Before I upgraded to 2012 LT, i had no issues with the text formatting box and its location on screen. I could move it and it would stay in place. In 2012 LT, whenever I edit a piece of text, the window pops up directly centered over the text, instead of above it as it does on my co-workers computers. I can move it as many times as i want, but it always pops up in the same spot. Has anyone else ever encountered this?

Welcome to CADTutor. :)

Are you talking about editing TEXT or MTEXT?

If Text, check your TEXTED settings against those described in the left image.

If it is MTEXT, check your MTEXTFIXED setting against the right image.

Or you could just ask one of your coworkers to enter TEXTED and/or MTEXTFIXED at the commandline

and see what number comes back as the current system variable setting for each of those variables, then set yours to match.

This was for MTEXT. I will have to wait for my co-workers to get in, but I just tried changing the system variables for both texted and mtextfixed with no results. I'm not quite sure whats going on.

Did you try setting MTEXTED equal to "OldEditor"?

Yeah, it would not let me edit text because of the formatting being used once i did that though, so i had to set it back to internal

The text formatting toolbar behavior can be adjusted somewhat as shown in the SYSVDLG image as previously shown.

I believe the behavior you are after is as highlighted in this image?

Seems like as ReMark suggested you want to use the Old Editor.

Might it not be compatible with the ANNOTATIVE Mtext?
