ColinPearson
Hi all... Can someone point me in the right direction to really learn how to manipulate data links? I want excel tables to come over and use their native excel formatting. I have a heck of a time getting them to look right (text size, font, justification, cell size, etc) and then when I update the link after making changes to the XLS, they get all cattywompus again. I've never been real strong on text management in CAD; I'm always scaling text and doing poor drafting things like that. So I looked into Tablestyles and things a bit and thought I had it, but not so much. I really need this to work. Anyone have any tips? Thanks so much! Mike_Taylor
Check this out. Relatively inexpensive and works great. It keeps a link to the original excel file so its easy to update and maintain. All the formatting is brought over from excel. Very neat program, and easy to use. ColinPearson
Thanks Mike... I think I can get my PM to spring for that. I'll give it a whirl.

Mike_Taylor
Nope. We have a license that sits on a 2011 LT seat which we remote desktop to.
Mike_Taylor
I should mention they have all their products out for all versions of AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT. When you download a trial you can activate form their site. Its based off the license you buy. (So if you have the 2013 LT on installed and purchase the license you simply activate that software). Upgrading is even cheaper. To upgrade from a 2011-2013 license it about 1/4 of the full cost. Like I said, it is fantastic software. I absolutely love it.
