    Default removing segmented circle in 3d views

    Registered forum members do not see this ad.

    Will somebody tell me how to remove the segemented look of 3d solid circles, arcs, etc. I am using Acad MDT 2005 and I am trying to print realistic circles.

    I know what you mean, i had to do the same thing on my drawings. It gives 3d objects a much more distinct and sharper image to them.

    Go to Tools>Options. In option sgo to the display tab. In the 'display performance' section tick "show silhouettes in wireframe". Then apply and ok.

    This only works on the drawing your doing. So if you have 2 files open and want them both to have this setting you need to do it to both drawings.

    if you're talking about the faceted look of circles then i would agree that facetres will make them better as shown in the images below

    facetres set to 0.5

    but as you can see you still do not loose the tri faces that make up the surface of the extruded circle to do that (not sure if this is what has been mentioned by show silhouettes) you need to set you dispsilh value to 1, then with a combination of dispsilh and facetres you get a better view of a realistic pipe say.
