Hi.

I've one drawing with a layer of architecture in XREF and a drawn specialty (sewage) over it. I want to use both (arcitecture and specialty) to another drwaing and eliminate XREF in the new one.

Is it possible, and if yes how?

Thanks

Yes, very easily.

The XREF can be bound to the drawing. It changes the XREF to a block. There are two options when binding, Insert and Bind. When the Bind option is chosen, the file name is prefixed to all of the names of layers, blocks, styles, etc. I try to avoid using this option. The insert command does not add the prefix.

Open the file and save as to a new file name. Bind the XREF. Boom, done.
