Epicurwin
I'm modeling vent in autocad MEP 2013. Whenever I try to add a fitting it asked me to choose a part. "The part specified in the routing preference cannot be used in the layout due to size or angle limitations. Please select a different part to substitute in the layout and click ok. Click Cancel to revert to the original part." I've opened the drawing on another computer and was able to add an elbow without any problems. The preferences for each are identical. I don't know why it will not work.
tzframpton
Are you sure the preferences are identical? I'm going by memory here, but I do believe there's a setting to take on the size automatically. Routing Preferences can matter as well. Epicurwin
The Routing preferences are the same. I didn't check the general preferences. What would affect pipe modeling in there?
Csodasbandi
I have the same problem with MEP 2014, but occurs only in the drawing I'm working on since months, in a new drawing works perfect. Did You find any solution for the problem?
sas999
The solution I found was to create a new construct dwg via the project manager by selecting al objects I wantl in the bugged dwg and draging them into a new construct thus copying everything I need across. Not sure why this fixed it maybe starting from a new template reset something, but i can continue on with my work. Sorry for reviving this thread but I thought this may help someone avoid some frustration. Kind Regards
