how to make a pop up for an object

I mean, could it be posible to define for an object from your design a pop up window with the data that you need about that object.
Ex: you make a house and insert a door like an object in your drawing. After that you want to make a window which will be visible only you double click on the door and you see her atributes ( made from wood or plastic, metal insertion etc.)

One way would be to include invisible attributes in your door block. When you double click on the block, the attribute editor window will open and list all attributes associated with that block.

Or you could try attaching a hyperlink to the door block that would point to an excel file or a word document. You would then ctrl+click on the block to open the file containing all information about the door. This would be good if you wanted to include a lot of text or photos.
