tracking from first point with relative instead of absolute coordinates

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've used this forum for a long time, but this is the first time i've not been able to find an answer, so thought I'd get on board.

Having trouble recently with tracking,

For example if i start the line tool, and track from a point, i am given absolute coordinates instead of relative coordinates from that initial point.

Absolute coordinates are not much help to me, I want to be able to start a line at a certain distance from another point.

I'm sure the solution is simple, but I've looked at all the settings and online and haven't found anything yet...

Any help is appreciated

Cheers.

there is a setting that determines how your AutoCAD works but we will have to wait for Dagdad to tell us what it is.

I am sure the old fashioned use of # for absolute and @ for relative still works as an override to that though.
