chrismof3330
I am new to autodesk inventor publisher. I am running publisher 2012 and also designing in autodesk inventor 2013. When I open publisher and try to import a drawing I get an error message "failed to open file" could anyone please advise me about this. JD Mather
Do you get this same error if you try to open a 2012 Inventor file?
chrismof3330
Thanks for your quick response I don't have inventor 2012 just inventor 2013. I was wondering if there is a setting within inventor 2013 that needs setting
JD Mather
My question wasn't about Inventor 2013 - you already stated that you are using 2013. My question was what happens when you try to open an Inventor 2012 (or earlier) file in Publisher 2012? You can find 2012 files attached here if you search back on postings before 2013 was released. You can determine the release version of a file by right clicking on the filename and selecting iProperties.
