Cad64
Have you checked the help index located on the Vray website: http://help.chaosgroup.com/vray/help/200R1/ There are lots of books on Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_0_4?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=vray&sprefix=vray%2Caps%2C373
spittle
Boaz Livny wrote my favorite mental ray book and I'd bet his vray CGWorkshop course is top notch. He explains the theory behind why things work in a particular way to give you a pretty solid understanding of what you're doing. It's not specific for Max but should be pretty generic, so fine if you've learnt the basics. Vray 3.0 has a help button next to each render tab which links to the relevant part of the reference guide and the bits I've seen show that it's been updated.
