kayjay525
Hi guys. I've made a grid system of 5 meters per unit and RL of each points is known to me. How do I create this grid system in AutoCad? I've seen people writing about importing survey points file into AutoCad, but how do we create one such? Organic
Hi guys. I've made a grid system of 5 meters per unit and RL of each points is known to me. As in you've made it on paper or set it out in the field, not in AutoCad, right? How do I create this grid system in AutoCad? I've seen people writing about importing survey points file into AutoCad, but how do we create one such? You can use the polyline (pl) tool to draw a line in the vertical direction and in the horizontal direction. Then use the offset (o) tool to offset these 5 metres. You can then put a point (po) at the intersections of the created grids. You can import survey points into AutoCad although you need the data to come from a total station or similar. I guess you could write out the coordinates of all your points, e.g. 0,0,100.000 5,5,101.295 0,10,102.625 etc etc to import them into AutoCad although that will take longer than drawing it.
