Assembly constraint - what type is needed?

Block A can move left and right, block B is fixed, block C can slide.

What sort of constraint would enable me to keep D1 and D2 equal?

I've tried everything I can think of :(

Thank you.

I'm not sure I fully understand, but have you tried grounding B and C to keep them fixed? also you could make a formula like D1 = D2 to make the 2 dimensions always be the same. Also you might need to look into creating adaptive parts and using drive constraints.

Thanks Kenny.

This is my first Inventor project after moving away from Solidworks - so I'm sorry if I'm overlooking some very simple solutions (Like making d1=d2 lol)

In SW I'd use a 'tab' mate - using a point on each arc at the end of each slot/cut (in B&C) , and positioning block A 'between' the points so the 2 distances were always equal.

Block B can be fixed, Block C needs to move in the directions of the blue arrows, and d1 & d2 should always be equal.

Thanks a lot :)

(The attachment wouldn't upload here - 560kb is too large I'm told.)

As the RHS pieces move laterally, I'd like the 'brick' to have an equal amount of 'slot' on either side.

Thanks for your time.

(Edit:

I tried editing my original post to clarify things, and its now disappeared ! )
