"Lock" a DWG into 2-D?

Tiger- you really taught me a lot regarding the little box at the top of Quick Properties! I didn't know you could isolate all the selected things by type. Has been VERY helpful... That block of the bed was crazy! I fixed it thanks to you :)

No worries, a good problem is entertaining :)

 

If I were you, I would be real clear with the people that approve your time-log what is going on, tell them before you start spending a day per drawing just to clean them up, if that is what they want you to do. If they say no, then it's up to them to explain how you should tackle this problem. It's much better to get this out before you spend the time, than to explain afterwards how all those hours where spent. Each company is different ofcourse, this is from my own experience.

I'll go with Tiger on this, if this is your first job, don't think you should be expected to do this quickly or easily, tell a direct supervisor that these drawings are badly prepared and let them decide what to do about it. There are not many experienced drafters who could even tell you what the problems are.
