eainsworth7
I converted from AutoCAD 2000 to 2014 and now when I open up my old drawings some of the text does not show up. But if I go back and open it with 2000 it is still there. I found that if I convert the text to mtext it shows up. Is there a setting in AutoCAD 2014 that I can change so that this text shows up? I tried changing the annotation scale to see if that would do anything but it did not.
rkmcswain
What "font" is assigned to the textstyle being used in the 2000 version? Maybe 2014 doesn't have access to this font? Check your full command line history after opening the drawing to make sure there are no font messages/errors. In 2014, set FONTALT to something like "TXT", and try opening it again. If all else fails, is there any chance you could upload a slimmed down version of this 2000 DWG?
