jstremkowski
I am having ssues with files in Acad that were originally created as VWX files. The boundary command will not work on solid objects from a top view as it does with Acad created objects. Also, I cannot dimension any rounded surfaces because they are splines. Are there any work-arounds to these issues?
ReMark
I think you'll have to redraw everything.
SLW210
Have someone with Vectorworks export them to .dwg or .dxf. Can you post one of these objects? Maybe someone can sort it out.
jstremkowski
They are exporting it as a dwg, there was a thought that it could have something to do with the export options from vectorworks. I cannot post any of our ongoing projects but will have something generic sent to me that can be put up. Thank you!
ReMark
I would be surprised if there are any further "options" available when exporting to a DWG and/or DXF file format.
jstremkowski
Here is a sample of what I am working with. Any help would be greatly appreciated! VWX Test.dwg
ReMark
I'm not on my CAD computer at the moment but I do have a question. Were there any "options" under Export to DWG file format from Vectorworks?
hugha
Splines can now be converted to Polylines. http://autocadtips.wordpress.com/2011/08/04/spline-to-polyline-without-lisp/ Can't help with the solids, sorry.
