Hi guys,

Recommended Posts

I need to work on some older drawings and I am having some problems with the text that is on paper space.

I know that the text is there as if I run a search it comes up in the find function and i can see where it is located but then when I turn it off, the text disappears and I can't do anything to find it.

does anyone have any idea's?

I will try and attach a pic so you can see what I am talking about...

not the best pic but anyway... here goes

Welcome to CADTutor. :)

It is very difficult to see your screenshots.

It looks like you are in Modelspace, and like the text in the notes

which you describe as being in paperspace may be in your titleblock.

Does that sound about right?

I assume that you want to EDIT the text?

Both screenshots are in paper space.

There is also text in the title block that I can't see but i know it is there..

If the text is in the titleblock, you should be able to double click on it, and edit it in place.

You might want to create a copy of your drawing to work on, lest you damage the original.

If you double click on it, I believe you will see the edit block definition dialog box open,

which is where you could choose to modify it. After you modify it, you will be asked

to confirm your intention to save changes to the block.

It seems that there is a font file that is missing, and that is why it is not showing up.

If I change the font style in the attributes box it then shows up. This works for the title block but i am still unable to select the other text that is in paperspace.

I should think that your FONTALT setting would handle this, by replacing the missing font with the designated

replacement font to be substituted for missing fonts.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the help, and I have sorted out the problem.

I typed in STYLE and then selected the ISOCP font and changed the big font options.

Everything showed up :)
