Accoes
I have received an Arch revit model and need to draw the mech. Question : Do you start drawing in the Revit arch or do you link the Revit Arch to your start template(mechanical).Reason why I ask is the grids and level are set up in the Arch and when I link the Arch to the mech not all the levels show up.There's a embedded image also that I cannot get to show up without displaying hidden objects. tzframpton
Receiving an architectural model will always 100% mean you need to Link into your own model. You will need to use the Copy/Monitor tools to bring in a few things. Mostly only the Grids and the Levels - leave the architectural Grids and Levels alone and work with the copied versions in your own model. This is the absolute best workflow for both visibility requirements and seamless level association with the architect.
