Yes, there is a limitation on size but I'm not sure exactly what it is. What I do know is that this has been improved greatly in 2004.

Speaking of that is there a limitation in the size of a drawing in CAD,strictly speaking you draw in full size,so there shouldnt be, is that right, I've tried out huge co-ordinates but never come across any limits.

In theory there are no limits, the AutoCAD drawing space is infinite in all directions, just like the real world (?).

In practice, I have never found any limitation so maybe the above is actually true.

Hyposmurf I've never come across a drawing limitation. I've been messing around with this ole and found that it's about a two page limit (in 2002) same for R14, but for some reason R14 will not print or plot any ole, but in the print preview it shows up. thanks guys

(sorry for going off topic) There seems to be no limit to the size of model-space in AutoCAD. In school the instructor had a full scale drawing of our solar-system. It had the Sun and all 9 planets from Mercury to Pluto (and the planets moons). Pluto is something like 3,666,000,000 miles from the Sun, so AutoCAD has a pretty big model space. Actually, after zooming to Earth, he had a 3D man standing in Texas.

Guess what I'll be showing my 13yr olds next week lesson one in MDT/2004, yip I'll draw that and show them !

Normally I draw a full size soccer pitch zoom in/out etc.
