Drawing saved, but not the new draws objects

Hi,

Last week i worked on a drawing and when i looked yesterday it said i saved it the last time on Friday at the end of the workday.

1 know for 110% sure that i had done way more then what i saw when i opened the drawing yesterday.

All layers were on. I opened a drawing i saved on a other location that was from thursday and it had more work it in then the one saved on friday.

Since the begining there were some text in the drawing that i changed color as i walked trought the drawing and worked my way on the to-do list.

However my newly added objects (lines, hatches, blocks) aren't saved and perhaps even 'deleted' more than the day before, but the text that i changed the color of DID get saved...

I could restore some work from the thursday drawing, but i lost a lot of work overall. Anyone had a similar experience ?

The drawing also gives errors. It says it needs recovery. So when i recover the drawing the errors comes back after a couple of saves, adding nothing i haven't allready got in the drawing...

Do you have AutoCAD create a BAK file upon each save?

I've never had this type of problem but you are not alone as it has been the topic of other threads in the past.

A colleague of mine had the same problem recently, but on other work. I just started using Autocad 2014 and so far so good on error notices (non so far).

We both used Autocad 2013.

A bak file also had the same problem of missing content.

Nope, it was saved friday at the end of the day. So it should have been that file. And since i marked my progress by changing the color of mtext (containing the things that needed to be done) to green i must have allready been on that spot. So it saved that colorchange (text was allready in drawing when i started), but the work i added did not get saved.

Maybe you thought you saved but didn't. It has been known to happen. When the mind is preoccupied it is easy to "think" one has done something when in reality they haven't.
