AJSmith
I am working on AutoCAD 2014 how ever the majority of CAD uses in the office use LT2010 I am finding that if I amend a template the 2010 users cant open them is there a better way around this than creating a dwg and them using a LT machine to save the dwt? Tiger
I found this link that says that you can save it as a DWG in the correct format, then change the file-type to DWT afterwards. I know that I have done this before, I can't remember that this was the way I did it though...

rkent
After making the changes, use saveas command, pick the 2010 release, before hitting ok change the .dwg to .dwt. You can also use .dwg files for templates meaning you wouldn't have to worrry about the .dwt extension when saving.
