I bought 'The Essential Guide to Technical Product Specification: Engineering Drawing' recently. Its a brilliant book and has been really helpful, however I am struggling to find something similar for Architectural Drawing. If anyone can recommend anything it would be very much appreciated. Im after a book that teaches drawing standards for architectural work, layer names, abbreviations, symbols, how drawings should be presented etc. Does the book that you recommend include this? Or is it more of a step by step guide to using the features Autocad. Also do the standards change much from country to country? AIA CAD Layer Guidelines...http://www.nyu.edu/sapd/pdf/NYU_Layer_Standard_Binder.pdf For British Standards you would probably have to consult BS 1192. Ill search a little further into BS 1192, I dont really want to end up buying the British standards book those things are expensive... Just a decent book on BS1192 would be ideal!
