Running Autocad 2000 on 64 bit Windows 7

I have 2002 running on Win7, I used compatibility mode and nothing else. Win7 64. You should try it first and see if it will work.

It is odd that some people will have success with that method while for others it is a complete bust. No rhyme or reason to it.

I used Draftsight for a year but did not renew it because do not have the internet at home. But if i remember right it will save .DWG files in the 2013 format. I did have a problem with the drawing disappearing and having to save the drawing, close the program and then go back into it and yes the complete drawing that i had been working on would be there. Another advantage over autocadLT 2000 (which i still have) was that i could view forum drawings up to the 2013.
