Hi,

I need someone to explain to me what this means: "The sweep results in self-intersecting Surface". I am trying to use sweep command on some lines but I get this message after failing. See the link: http://prntscr.com/2qbwk0

thanks for explaining it to me.

Best regards to you all,

Miro

What entity so you want to sweep? If is a closed polyline, then select it and in Properties parse its nodes to see where is the issues.

Again, it will be much better to post your picture here since some people (me included) will be reluctant to go to such shared repositories to see them.

Well first of all so you know: I tried to attach my drawing here with this post put could not do it because it would never attach and I waited and waited (http://prntscr.com/2qfi6z ) as you can see so I had to put it in my dropbox public folder for you to be able to download it. I am sorry for this

Here is the file if someone will look at it: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8906158/sweep%20command%20problem.dwg

PS: you will se the little circle that I drawn which I would like to use for the sweep command. Those 6 splines represent "the cables"

Hope this will help. I am thankful for all the help and of course thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Miro

Is it possible you have a "kink" in your cable caused by two splines overlapping or a curve that is so sharp the circle you are trying to sweep would fold back on itself?

The file size limits here for AutoCAD drawings preclude the uploading of some 3D drawings.
