marlo5
Distance command (DI) not showing correct measurement. I`m getting different results when using the distance command. When i simply use the AutoCAD Distance command for 2 lines offset 1200 apart, it displays 1200. GREAT.BUT when i offset a line on a 45 degree angle at say 1500 the distance command displays 1060.7.BUT when you use Angular Dimension it dimensions correctly showing 1500. Any advice please. cheers Edited February 21, 2014 by Tiger revmoved borked formatting
Tiger
the X-distance, i.e. the horizontal distance between two lines 1500 apart at a 45 degree angel is 1060. The perpendicular distance is 1500. Are you perhaps only seeing one line on the commandline? Make the commandlinewindow higher so you see three lines or more, then run the Distance command again, now you should see a line for Distance which says 1500 and a line for Delta X which says 1060.
