With Object Snap Tracking turned on (F11), I want to Object Snap to the point where the dashed line intersects an object. I have the Quadrant and Intersection Osnap turned on and also have Polar Tracking on and se to 45 with all angles. Ortho and tracking don't work together very well, even at 180 and 90. By the way, you want Apparent intersection. That is the intersection that does not yet exist.
